Gardner-Webb's Donta Harper has been chosen as the StatSheet Big South Player of the Week for the week ending December 17th. North Carolina-Asheville's Will Weeks has won StatSheet's Big South Freshman of the Week. And last but not least, Tomasz Gielo from Liberty takes home StatSheet's Big South 6th Man of the Week.

Harper led the entire Big South in scoring (27.0 pts per game). He also tallied big numbers in both rebounding (7 per game) and shooting (70%). The Gardner-Webb sophomore put these numbers up in a win versus Citadel.

This is the first time that Donta Harper has been named the StatSheet Big South Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is High Point senior Allan Chaney. Honorable mention goes to sophomore Max Landis from Gardner-Webb.

StatSheet Big South Freshman of the Week: North Carolina-Asheville's Will Weeks

Will Weeks played an average of 30 minutes as a starter for North Carolina-Asheville. In a 66-55 win over Lenoir-Rhyne, Weeks contributed 6 points and 5 rebounds. Then in a 90-72 loss to Ohio State, he added 14 points and 6 rebounds.

This is a new honor for Will Weeks, the first time he has won StatSheet Big South Freshman of the Week. The runner-up is John Brown from High Point. Lorenzo Cugini from High Point takes honorable mention. Michel Enanga was the highest ranking freshman from Coastal Carolina and finished 6th.

StatSheet Big South 6th Man of the Week: Liberty's Tomasz Gielo

Sophomore Tomasz Gielo, a 6-9 forward, played 27 minutes during a lone game for the Flames. In a 60-53 loss to Howard, Gielo put up 8 points and 7 rebounds.

This is the first StatSheet Big South 6th Man of the Week honor for Tomasz Gielo. Our own Charles Ashford is the runner up. Leek Leek, a junior forward from Campbell, receives honorable mention. Coastal Carolina has yet to win the StatSheet Big South Player of the Week award this season.
